Long and intense discussions – and sometimes very different stories of the “same event”. That could be a brief summary of the session on comparing official narratives. Participants split up in binational (and in one case a trinational) group. They then selected one particular event in history and first tried to establish an official narrative about this event that they have learned in school, through media and public discourse in their upbringing. Afterwards they joined their partners from the other country and simply told each other these different stories.
